   Daruma is well known for its high quality of authentic Japanese cuisine and friendly and speedy service (no matter how busy they are), but one of the biggest reasons for their popularity is the variety of dishes at amazingly reasonable prices.

   For example at lunch time there are so many dishes you can enjoy priced under $10 such as Japanese Curry and Rice ($8 – $9.80), Katsu-Bento ($9), Ramen ($8 – $9.80) and even Sushi & Mini Udon Box ($10 with 3 Nigiri Sushi, 2 Sushi Rolls, Mini Udon, Agedashi-Tofu and Miso Soup). There are also ready to go takeaway bento boxes and sushi rolls on display at lunch time for busy people.

   At dinner time Daruma becomes Izakaya (tavern or Spanish bar in Japanese Style) where you can enjoy a huge selection of tapas style dishes under $10 along with over 100 choices of sakes and beers from all over Japan and all at half price until the end of 2013!

   Daruma’s winter special is Wagyu Shabu Shabu hot pot, the Shabu Shabu Set comes with Wagyu Beef, Pork, Vegetables, Udon noodles, Sashimi and even Hot Sake. The price range of the Shabu Shabu Set is only $55 for 2-3 persons or $99.80 for 4-6, an unbelievable price! Apart from the Shabu Shabu Set, other party menus can be also arranged from as low as $25pp.

   Although Daruma is a casual restaurant, they have one of the most famous sushi and sashimi chefs amongst the Japanese in Sydney. Tamaki brings his skill and experience (he previously ran Fuuki restaurant in Crows Nest before joining Daruma a few years ago). So you can enjoy some of the best sushi and sashimi at Daruma!
