Ramen created by a former fine dining chef
Haru Inukai, the former owner-chef of the hat winning restaurant, Blancharu, has always had a passion to create great ramen. He finally made his dream come true in July this year by opening Ramen Ikkyu in the Sussex Centre Food Court.
Tokyo Shoyu Ramen ($10.50)
Ramen Ikkyu offers 100% MSG free ramen dishes, with homemade noodles and broth called Paitan Soup (which is made from lightly blanched chicken bones). You can enjoy it in several flavours such as Shio (salt), Shoyu (soy sauce) and Miso. Kaedama (additional noodles) are free. Inukai’s ramen is also loved by celeb chefs Neil Perry and Tony Bilson.
