How about some Japanese with your coffee for lunch?
Soboro-don (rice bowl with chicken mince, scrambled eggs and rocket leaves) Set with Salad and Miso Soup ($8.90)
This seems like a typical café that you can find all over Sydney, serving a typical lunch menu; sandwiches, salads and pastas…etc. However, this is much more than just a typical café. The friendly and charming Japanese owner Mami also introduces Japanese menu items such as Katsu-don Set (crumbed deep fried chicken rice bowl) which comes with salad and miso soup ($8.90), Yaki-Udon (stir fried udon noodles)($8) and Sushi Rolls ($2.80 each) which are bigger than normal sushi rolls in Sydney.
Gyu-don (rice bowl with beef) Set with Salad and Miso Soup ($8.90)
They prepare three different types of rice every day. Apart from the Japanese menu, they serve Oriental curry and rice (non Japanese style) and risotto, all cooked in pots, not in a rice cooker! (This is very much appreciated in Japan)
Bento Box with Teriyaki Chicken, Deep Fried Prawn Wontons, Salad and Rice ($8.20)
